Friday Favs_2.7.14
/Friday! Friday! Friday!
Not sure where this week went but, I'm sure glad it's Friday! I'm meeting up with the bff's tonight, with Jenn tomorrow and the rest of the weekend I'm going to try to relax, clean, and be healthy (the little things, guys).
What are you all up to this weekend? Getting into anything good?
Here are the favs:
Last night, Rob and I decided to have a little Olympic celebration. Since I'm not super familiar with Russian food and traditional American food isn't the healthiest, I went with the origin - GREECE! These Greek meatballs came out fantastic. I used organic, grass-fed beef and followed the rest of the recipe (click image). The Greek salad you see is a take on Ina Garten's Greek salad. I've been making it for years - it's delicious. Athena sent me a recipe for quick Spanakopita bites that are better for a party so I'll be making them at my next gathering!
I've been testing out the whole "work out in the morning" thing. I have no prob working out at 6:30 or 7, but, 5:30 is aggressive. PWG has a 5:30am class that I've been taking 2-3 times a week to give me more time after work (and honestly, so I can stay at work a little later). I must say I feel phenom and ready to take on the day once it's done. What are your secrets to waking up early for a workout? I think it's all about balance. I always take the evening class on Mondays. Ain't nobody got time for 5am after the weekend....
This article on Organic milk explains why it's better, folks. Read up.
Runners unit! Tomorrow from 9am-Noon at the DCR Hatch Shell... New Balance is having another event. New Balance associates will showcase new products, provide winter running tips, and distribute performance accessories to outdoor enthusiasts. New Balance associates will be handing out gear, fueling food and hydrating drinks.

Krista sent me this article on how exercise makes you a happier, healthier person (duh), but, it's more than just endorphins! Cool article....
And finally, maybe this is motivation enough to get up and out of bed! Early bird gets the worm, right?
Have an awesome weekend! xo
